Sponsored Coastal Walk on 13 May 2018
In 2016 we raised £6,228. Let's do even better this time !
All monies raised this year will go towards helping bring clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene to the people of Analamanga Region, central Madagascar.
Walk 16, 10 or 6 miles on a Purbeck route, starting from:
16 miles - Solent Beach (near Hengistbury Head) - start 0900-1100
10 miles - Branksome Dene Chine - start 1000-1200
6 miles - Shell Bay - start 1100-1500
All Purbeck routes above finish in Swanage
Select 4 miles on the Promenade walk
Start & Finish at Branksome Dene Chine Start between 1000-1100, finish by 1300. This walk is entirely level along the sea front on an out-&-back route. OK for wheelchairs.
View the Route Map of all four routes.
Easy routes beside the sea
The Purbeck routes are along Bournemouth and Poole seafront promenades, then follow the coastal path via the Sandbanks ferry to Studland and over Ballard Down to the finish in Swanage, the Gateway to the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site. Purbeck routes are level all the way, apart from walking uphill onto Ballard Down (marvellous views) and down the other side.
